European Business Review (EBR) in cooperation with the "North Aegean Region of Greece" are organizing a "Meet the Experts" session on the occasion of the European Business Summit 2015 due to take place in Brussels on May 7, 2015. The exclusive meeting entitled "Innovation as a stimulus for regional growth" will gather experts on the issue that will share their knowledge and experiences aiming at presenting innovation as an essential tool for the much-awaited regional growth.

The cohesion policy for 2014-2020 adopted a new approach towards the necessity to address the needs that the economic crisis emerged. The new agenda aims at bridging the gap between public infrastructures and private investments, stimulating employment and supporting implementation of best practices.
Objective of the event is to present the opportunities laying both for the private and public sector and launch the real debate on concrete next steps.

The experts who will participate are the following:

Luiz de Mello - Deputy Director of the Public Governance and Territorial Development Directorate (OECD)

Christiana Kalogirou - Governor of the North Aegean Region 

Hans Hack - Head of Financial Services in FTI Consulting 

Eleni Marianou - Conference for Peripheral Maritime Regions of Europe (CPMR)

Peter Kramer - Editor-in-chief of the European Business Review (moderator)

The event is scheduled for Thursday 7th of May from 13:30 to 14:30  at the Egmont Palace in Brussels - Networking Village of the European Business Summit.
