The National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens (EMST), a year after the announcement of its program for 2016-2017 sees its efforts coming to fruition for its activity that started on 31.10.2016, with the partial operation of its building.

The news about its international activity are very pleasant, while it prepares its next exhibitions and events.

As known, since the Spring of 2017, the Museum started to become active, mainly outside Greece, while waiting for the full operation of its building in Athens.

After the end of documenta 14 in Athens on July 16th, 2017 and the necessary restoration works of the space, that were completed in the end of August, EMST will continue its partial operation in its Temporary exhibition spaces, its educational space and its Screening and Conference Room.

Meanwhile, the prerequisites that will lead to the full operation of the Museum were completed, since in August of 2017 the Internal Rules of Procedure were established, a raise of the annual subsidy was assured and the procedures for the increase of the Museum's personnel were completed.

Now, the completion and implementation of the studies that will lead to the full operation of the Museum, are expected.
