ATHENS 2017 International Symposium on Hospitality and Tourism

FBMA Greece in conjunction with IFBA International Food & Beverage Association announces the organisation of the "1st International Symposium on Hospitality and Tourism 23th - 27th October 2017" in Athens at NJV Athens Plaza Hotel.

Moreover, FBMA Greece has mapped out activities in the framework and support of the UNWTO designation of 2017 as the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development as well as actively participating in the ”Travel in Balance” concept of Marketing Greece. These activities are aligned with the aims and philosophy of FBMA ”Experience Greece” in contributing to the collective sensitisation and promotion of the sustainable tourism development.

The Five-Day Symposium will be hosting a pioneering and multidimensional agenda of three and more grand events:

* Athens 2017' Hospitality & Tourism Strategy Symposium
* IFBA Annual General Meeting' International Food & Beverage Association
* FBMA Greece 2nd Food and Beverage Management Conference

It will also present the brand new FBMA project, "Experience Greece, Experience Hospitality" ... aiming to highlight Greece in the international hospitality and travel community of its cultural values, gastronomic heritage and the authentic hospitality of Greek people. The new initiative of the organisation will be inaugurated by the "Experience Peloponnese" —Food. Wine. Gastronomy. Tourism. Travel. Culture.

People— which will include this year's feature and the first special tribute to this category section.

The planned round tour in Peloponnese will be a unique opportunity for the international hospitality and travel guest community to meet the beautiful and hospitable local people, explore region's authentic cultural elements, its ancient Nemean Winelands, the local tradition and the distinctive flavours and products of the local gastronomy scenery.

Moreover, FBMA Greece has mapped out activities in the framework and support of the UNWTO designation of 2017 as the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development as well as actively participating in the "Travel in Balance" concept of Marketing Greece. These activities are aligned with the aims and philosophy of FBMA "Experience Greece" in contributing to the collective sensitisation and promotion of the sustainable tourism development. 

In particular, the international delegates will be visiting and presented a showcase of hotels and restaurants of unique beauty and value in the region, which at the core of their philosophy hold sustainable tourism and environmental protection along with a social responsibility coexistence in the economic and social development of the local community.

In future, FBMA "Experience Greece" in the context of drawing up a strategic plan for the promotion of the leading characteristics of country's tourism product, will pass the baton into other geographical areas of Greece as well.
