ThinkYoung launched Fail2Succeed, a campaign that aims at reducing the stigma of entrepreneurial failure in Europe encouraging young Europeans to go ahead with their start up, ultimately making a proposal for an improvement in bankruptcy laws.

From September 2013 ThinkYoung will start conducting research in all EU member states on young people’s perception on failure. This research will go hand in hand with an audio visual documentary that will put a face and a story behind the numbers, giving real life cases of young Europeans that are overcoming failure. The findings will be presented in a series of conferences across Europe.

To kick off the campaign, a debate on entrepreneurial failure was held in the European Parliament on Thursday July 11th. Speakers at this debate were Philippe De Backer, MEP for ALDE Group, Marko Curavić, Head of Unit 'Entrepreneurship', DG Enterprise and Industry, European Commission and Isabelle Rabier Founder and CEO of Dermance. Andrea Gerosa, Founder and Chief Thinker of ThinkYoung, moderated the debate.

Fail2Succeed was launched alongside the fourth edition of the Entrepreneurship Summer School in Brussels, in which ThinkYoung organized this together with Google and the European Institute of Industrial Leadership. The Entrepreneurship Summer School has brought 100 young aspiring entrepreneurs, coming from different countries to Brussels, to learn directly from experienced and successful entrepreneurs. During the debate organized at the European Parliament, interesting questions and proposals arose from participants and speakers on entrepreneurial failure. The main points discussed will be included by ThinkYoung in its Fail2Succeed campaign.
